1961 Chevrolet Impala SS 409 Dual Quad Bubble Top

The rare bubble top car came to us for some needed minor repairs.    Left front view of this classic beauty. We have some wiring issues to repair, fuel lines to replace and a sticking door latch that lets the door pop open to address. Not too bad of a list for a 45 year old car.    Right front overall view    Dash view    Beautiful power bench seat    Right rear view. The thin sail panel is graceful    Left rear view    The important badge    The fearsome 409 V8 with not one, but two four barrel carburetors    We removed the cracking rubber fuel lines that were laying on the intake manifold. There was not any fuel filtration system, either. The new braided steel line from Edelbrock replaces the home made setup and gets everything off of the intake. Laying a fuel line on an intake is just going to heat the fuel and possibly induce vapor lock. We also added a fuel filter.
