Here is our newest arrival to the shop.
Rear view with the sideways 65 Mustang tail lamps
Look at that. This is a first! Gee Chuck where does the brake pedal go? I dunno, lets put it behind the steering column!
Another clue of things to come, lots of thick bondo covering up cracks. No wonder the doors didn't close properly!
Interior before disassembly.
More bondo covering holes
Tried and true 350 Chevy
Rear view
Interior being disassembled reveals more issues.
Rotted wood that isn't even joined together
This is the fuel tank. It was located in the passenger compartment!
The firewall is fiberglass!
The floor doesn't even meet the rail
The body is removed off of the chassis
Here is the forlorn body. We were afraid it was going to lean over!
The chassis has been hacked so much, it is extremely weak and unsafe
We squared the body and structurally braced it to make the proper repairs.
A new floor frame is installed.
The cowl sides, top and firewall are all being test fitted to the body.
Here we are testing the fitment.
The body needs some metal fabrication to meet up to the floor.
The cowl sides are spot welded together
Body work is continuing
Now the rear fenders are getting much needed attention
The old Mustang tail lamps are now gone and new metal patched in.
