The right quarter has been repaired properly and the metal etch primer applied.
Here is the left lower "patch" that the other shop had installed. People, this is just not right. The whole point of patching a rust spot is to REMOVE the rust and then weld in a new panel. This car would of continued to rust. This part weighs over 5 lbs with double layers of metal. Imagine what it weighed with all the body filler that had been applied previously. Unbelievable what these "restoration" shops do.
Mig welding the quarter panel patches in process. It looks cool in photos but NEVER look at it in person as it can do serious damage to your vision.
Here is the patch after we fabricated it along with making the wheel opening lip. This is a very difficult part to make due to the curves.
